Faculty Member Brief Research Description
Goncalo Abecasis My lab is focused on the genetic dissection of complex traits, such as obesity, in humans. We develop statistical methods, direct the design and analysis of very large studies including tens of thousands of participants, and evaluate new molecular techniques.
Michael Boehnke Statistical genetics, complex diseases, and human gene mapping, with application to type 2 diabetes and bipolar disorder
Kerby Shedden Statistics, including genomics, chemical biology, clinical outcome prediction, statistical genetics, and statistical image analysis.
Cristen Willer Gene discovery and biological implications for cardiovascular disease and blood lipid levels.
Xiang Zhou Developing statistical and computational methods for large-scale genetic and genomic studies to understand the genetic basis of phenotypic variation.
